Rangemaster..yes that is correct for all semi autos......for those of us lucky to hold a section 5 FAC (Firearms Certificate)....which is the bastion of most ex Military and Police personel........"joe" public can also hold an FAC if he / she is a member of a bonafide shooting club.

BUT...most M1icon Garands and Carbines now in the hands of private ownership are now legally deactivated..NOT DEMILLED (i.e Receiver gas torched in half) like your version of demilling whereas in our UKicon lawful version of DE-ACTIVATION.. the firing pin is removed....the face of the bolt ground.....and the barrel is pinned and welded so it cannot chamber a round or eject a projectile from the end of the barrel and that is the bastion of all Re Enactors/Living Historians...but the saving grace is externally our "weapons" are complete and look great in a collection or as part of a living history display.
