Definitely a new repro stock. He took some very good macro photos of many parts. Wonder why he didn't take a nice close-up of the CC? 
From his description of just purchasing this carbine, it sounds like he may have been taken and that's the real reason he's passing it along to another lucky winner (?)

and I mean, cmon: look at how deep the barrel band retaining spring slot is. maybe some original USGI were milled that deep, but i've never seen one like that.

Ok, I'll play devil's advocate here...
Guys, read what he wrote. He never said that the stock was WWII. He said it was a beautiful piece of wood. He never said that it was all original or that the CC was real. He said that he had just bought it from a specific person and that he was now selling it.
Yes, its new wood. You only see edges that sharp when they have been cut by a laser recently - not 60 years ago. The wood is too clean and has no "age" to it. Maybe he is not showing a close-up of the CC cause he does not mention the CC as a selling point. I am actually shocked that someone is actually being honest on GB.
Now, I ain't going to buy it cause I don't want a carbine with that much repark glued to it. But you have to admit that the guy is not mis-representing the weapon or the stock. At at the "buy now" price, looks like he is just trying to get his money out of it. Now I would be complaining if he was asking $1,000 for it, but I am sure that he is just trying to break even on a poor purchase.
I hate fake stamps/restamps. But I can live with the BS on GB better if those "humpers" were at least as honest as this guy seems to be.
Just my $150,000.02 worth (after the new increase in taxes)

To me this is a misleading description. JMO
To be honest he could have said:
NEW Reproduction walnut stock is beautiful, and the re-park is in 90% condition -
But that would lessen his chances of recuperating his original loss.

Yea, I can see your point on that, but he is probably inexperienced and just trying not to make statements that are out & out lies...
Maybe the answer is not to put it on GB but to take it to a local gunshow. While the educated collector will spot it as easily as these pic on GB, the 21 year old kid with a fist full of cash wanting anything will gladly take it off his hands....
Course that reminds me that I was 21/22 once and had to have a Carbine so badly that I bought the 1st Universal that I could find... guess we all make those "questionable" purchases when we were all young.... Hope the kid gets his money back in an upright sale.... but I ain't willing to help him out enough by buying it! LOL

Maybe the seller had no knowledge of the carbines....period.
Looking back into his feedback...you can see he had bought a Garand
from the seller blaze2000...and after a month tried to return it.
Possible.....he thought he was buying a carbine?

Charlie, I looked at the pattern of sells vs buys... looks like he is trying to buy things on low bids and then turn a quick profit. I doubt he knows what he has from a collector's view point. His subject matter seems to be all over the place. From what you pointed out, he's just in for a quick buck. Maybe I miss judged this gundealer and he is just a "used car salesman" type looking for that fast turn around..... never lies about the used car, just doesn't disclose everything until you have it off the lot....

They can tell the truth with what they say but there are volumes of what they omit!
I have an Ex-wife who was like that!
She'd say she didn't really lie, she just didn't say everything.
(Hell, almost that's worse than outright lying!)
