U.S. 30-'06 150gr flat-based cupro-nickel jacketed(silver colored) bullets w/ nominal velocity of 2700fps.
U.S. M2 ball (adopted 1940) much the same except gilding metal jackets on the bullets (copper color).
ETA U.S. M1
ball (Post- WWI circa 1926) 172gr boat tail gilding metal bullet jacket. Sights for '03's and m1917's aren't calibrated for these rounds.

We used to get french 30-06 ball with a nickel coloured bullet and LC 71 ball ,that stuff shot well in my FN colombian mauser ,thanks for that ,i see if i can hunt down a pic .

I can add that the propellant was something called "Pyro-Cellulose" which was a primitive single base Nitro-Cellulose powder. Possibly the "MR" power which later became IMR or a fore runner.
