Reproduction work really sickens me. The people who use these twisted people's services makes me sicker. Reproduction stocks, scopes, scope eye cups, butt plates, receiver markings, gas trap parts of all sorts, they all make me quite ill. This site and the GCAicon should ban any person who either traffics or purchases such an item.

I guess I'll start right now. I will no longer be buying from Bill Ricca! Ricca sells several reproduction parts. I had a Garandicon going out to the Garand Guy in two weeks, no longer, he sells gas trap reproduction parts. I've had it!!!!

Do you really want us to chastise those that do buy? On this forum? This seems like a pretty tight ship to do that kind of thing.

Okay, for vendors that either sell or do reproduction services I now have Bill Ricca (who I've purchased from), The Garandicon Guy (who I've purchased from), Orion 7, Shuff's Parkerizing (who I've purchased from), Numrichs, Sarco, and Tom Findley. Do we have others? Isn't the guy from Orion7 on the GCAicon board? Holy cow! Should we do a petition drive to remove him? What's the plan. I'm very excited to see a group of people willing to take action against these humpers.

Those guys are all great sellers of quality stuff. The repop parts they sell they put out there as such. They sell great parts except for Numrichs and Sarco. I have bought some not so good stuff from them. I think you take what I'm saying out of context and literally. I think I get your point though.

Yes, I really love all these sellers but they either sell reproduction parts or services. Isn't that what we're against? You just can't tell this stuff from original without real effort. Reproduction Butt plates, slings, gas trap parts, cartouches, eye cups, these guys sell this stuff.

I am very very sorry if I took you out of context, I really am. I just don't know that I can support anything but an all or nothing ban of these humpers. I've been taken on reproduction butt plates and reproduction M1D scope rings. The people who sold them to me may well have purchased them from one of these sellers. I feel like we cannot make a distinction between any humper. A humper is a humper no matter what they are trying to pass off or who they are. Some may even make a case for reproduction oprod springs but I wouldn't go that far.

Could someone please help me out. The discussion is about humped stamps and/or parts...right?

If it is not acceptible to stamp reproduction cartouches, why would it be OK to sell reproduction parts?
So if someone advertises the stamp is a reproduction, then is that OK?

What happens to all of the reproduction parts that are installed? If a reproduction spring is used, gas plug, barrel band or any other part is installed and the rifle is sold, are those parts advertised as reproduction?

I have seen gas trap rifles being sold without any mention as to replacement reproduction parts.
    Clarfication please.

Sad fact is, in 10 years nobody will really be able to tell the diference between repro cartouches/real, or lots of other parts. Even the CMPicon is becoming an unreliable source...
