Actually, rebarrels started well before World War I.

Would it be possible to post some pictures? As possible worth could be anywhere from $350 to $1000 or so, details are important. Some other questions:

1) Does the stock have no, one or two stock bolts?

2) Is the handguard a high hump-type?

3) Markings on the bolt? Look especially on all sides of the safety lug, and on the top and bottom of the bolt handle "root".

4) Any R-marked parts (this would denote Remington, not Rock Island)?

5) Is the finish blued or parked?
