Spot on Tired Retired! Exactly why I'd only buy from the CMPicon for the price their asking right now(around $700 for flip and if lucky, type 1 barrel band). Try finding any carbine on GB or any pawn shop with those original parts for less than that. Can be found at that price, but not common, and definitely not in my neck of the woods.

Once sold from the CMP, the market is simply what they'll pay(cabbage patch prices). Maybe I can get one now at the reasonable price, and not have to wait a year for the market to settle down. I'm having a lucky streak right now, at least as far as fall hunting goes, got an Antelope and deer so far. Maybe I can stretch the luck to a reasonably priced CMP Bavarian also!

    -cheers-
