Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Great great pic this just shows the mix of early and late items still in use at the very late stage of the war.....M41 Parsons Jackets....mixed with M43 jackets and M43 field caps.....Tankers Jackets

carbines with M8 grenade launchers and M1928 TSMG still with Cutts Compensators and M1 garands with and without M7 launchers.

Just goes to show that in theatre nothing was as per the T and OE
