Lot 420 - CANADIAN LONGBRANCH NO.4 T SNIPER RIFLE: .303; 25.2" barrel; g. bore with ring near muzzle & fitted with orig & correct Lyman No.32 TP scope; clear markings to receiver; g. profiles & markings; thinning blk finish to receiver, fitting & mag; g. stock with minor bruising; cheek piece removed; gwo & cond. Rifle is reputed to have been used by the Govt Ammunition Factory Footscray for testing ammunition butt is stamped A.F.F. #74L1925 L/R $5500 - $6500

Well the auction is over , I won 1 of 3 bids I put in ,I'm now the proud owner of a 1908 Mannlicher Schoenauer ,Might get to see it this week if I'm lucky. Only 1 thing I'm not sure about is the caliber ,in the auction it's described as a 9 x 56 but everything I've read so far tells me it should be an 8 x 56 ,we'll see when it arrives .
