It looks like a M7A3 for the M1
rifle. That's the most common post war M1 rifle launcher. They go for 35-55 bucks around here. They are unlawful in kalifornia.

It is laying on the wrapper it was in.
It belongs to my cousin who found it in my 92 year old uncle's house. He was a First Lt in WW2. He is looking for info on it. He doesn't have a garand. He, as I, collect carbines.
Who said it was in Kalifornia? I just happen to live there is all. I know, can't wait to move either. Retire next year. 
You are correct Tom. Marked Acme 7266167 on the right side and Launcher Grenade M7A3 on the left side. Unused condition.
