Probably not worth it. Those commemorative M1 Rifles were usually made (recently) with commercial cast receivers, not real USGI receivers, with engraved stocks and gold plated parts in an attempt to make a collectible rifle. People trying to sell them ask a lot of money for them but they usually languish unsold at those prices, until a (probably) inexperienced new collector comes along and buys it, thinking it has historic value.
