I just purchased a british no. 42 Mk 1 sniper scope in excellent condition, in fact amazing condition. Where can I locate the correct pads and mounts. Current mounts sold at SARCO Inc. do not have windage and elevation adjustments. The no. 42 Mk 1 is nothing more than a tube with cross hairs and a range finder, very unique and know this is a great scope if i can find the correct mounts. i can purchase the pads but what is the correct militay mount used as this maybe the type of mount that allows for windage and elevation adjustment. Please help and all advice is welcomed. Also if anyone has pictures please post. thank you sftech553

Hello to all. I'm looking forward to discussions regarding 1903 Springfield and variants. Have a WWI and an A3, both sporterized. I think I have alot to learn and believe I've found many good sources. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to all the new members. If you can post pictures of your "Stuff".

We all like to see photo's of what everyone has. It's easy to do.
So once again welcome, hang around, check out the other sections you will learn much more than you thought!!. Here's a couple of mine.

First my 1903, I waited a couple of years to find one in this condition.

Next is my one and only M1icon Carbine, but it is a Winchester with a undated Winchester barrel and a post war M2 Stock, also in great shape.

Hello! Long time lurker here looking to learn some more! I would describe myself as generally familiar with most military firearms, but not an expert when it comes to the details!

    Hello there!

My name is Keith Oakes & I live in Essex, United Kingdomicon. I thought I'd join you all on here & meet some like minded people. If anyone feels like a chat, feel free to contact me. Come on, I won't bite! ;-)

I have been interested in firearms since I was very young as my dad was a keen restorer of military vehicles. He'd buy deactivated weapons & mount them on the vehicles and I was fascinated! He gave me a great book called 'Small Arms' & I read it cover to cover countless times. As it turned out, I ended up teaching him & I still have as strong an interest now as I ever did. In fact, I am in the process of writing my own book so any help in the way of pictures would be much appreciated.

    Newest member here,

own a carbine that was handed down to me, have had it close to thirty years, and as of today, own a Garandicon, CMPicon store visit paid off with a Service Grade Special. Trying to learn more about finishing the wood on it to smooth it out and give it a little darkness.
