Thanks again.. I really don't intend to shoot it very much, it's more to complete my WW2 collection. It's like my M1
Garand, I think I've put at most about 250 rounds thru it in the 17 years I've owned it. The only time any of my WW2 rifles go to the range is if someone likes the particular piece and wants to fire it, other than that they're all pampered safe queens. I shoot in a League which I use other rifles for and when I'm really Jonesing I bring out my AR15 for a little stress relief.
Any ideas where I can get a sling swivel? Is that screw supposed to be there to hold the swivel, or was it a quick fix? Any ideas on what this carbine may be worth?
Thanks, Dave

reb, the front band screw looks O.K. It will go through the sling swivel. Could be very hard to find an original. I would get a repro to hold a sling until you can find an original. Check gun shows, e-bay, gunbroker.com, the classifieds here or maybe someone on the forum can help. Sometimes the search for parts can be part of the enjoyment of collecting. Good luck.....Frank

Hey reb, I went back and look at the screw again. I don't think it is right. The previous owner must have lost both the screw and swivel. You might try Eddie Yuja on gunbroker, he sells under 81mm. I have gotten parts from him in the past, also got a deal on mags from him at the Phoenix show last spring, he is a good guy.....Frank

I think you're right about the screw. I was thinking of contacting Fulton Armories to see if they may have what I need available.Problem is many U/S companies won't ship anything to Canada
anymore.
