Good God! Rick, once pointed out, I see it. I knew the "S" were bad.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I think the worst thing they ever did was blocking people from contacting the bidders. Bidders that don't know should be educated. They should be required to take a course here and learn before bidding!

    Thanks, Rick!

You've done a lot to dispel the resentment many of us "unwashed" have had for many years over the fact that a small number of "experts" have held knowledge too closely to their chest.

I realize it's a fine line between educating Fakers, but it's also important to get that knowledge out to the collector community so they won't spend years and many thousands of dollars learning the ropes.

I think you have set an excellent example for others to follow.

I must say, having watched this process for over a decade now, on Joustericon and other forums, this is a good turning point.

    Thanks guys I appreciate it.

Ok # 7 is a Fake also. This one when looking at it at a show or by itself can be a hard one also as they burned it in to give it the aged look. The key here is the letters height is how I lined these two up and that shows allot of differences in size before you even start to compare other points of this one. Rick Bicon
