Greetings from Alabama
New old guy here. Relatively new to collecting. All the kids are gone so I finally have a little to spend on a modest collection. Trying to get at least one example of the US military rifles. To date, got '84 Trapdoor, Krag, 2 1917s, 1 WWI '03, 2 WWII era 03s, 6 Garands (one each Manafacturer + SA Collector and 1 built up shooter), couple of M1
Carbines.
I've picked up a few 9mm service/police handguns including a DP51, Jericho 941,Beretta M9 and 92G and SIG 226.
Been loading my own to keep things relatively affordable and now have .22 conv. kits for the Beretta's, Sig and AR.
Pretty much interest in everything! Sorry to drone on but it's raining here and GunBroker is down!

It all started when my brother gave me a $6 Finned dragoon 48 years ago. I was smitten. I have been seeking old rusty military rifles for the last 48 years.
By the way I still have the dragoon.

Just a hello
First time on this site and I am impressed. I am 20 yr USAF 1963 - 83. I came to this site, because I am looking for information about a Swedish
Mauser I purchased about 10 years ago. I got it for $65.00. All this time I had thought I had a m/96, and never had another thought about it. I just recently decided to get a scope for this weapon. When taking a close look at her, I found she is a 1908 m / 41B Swedish Sniper, serial # 441.
Other than the items I have found on the inter net, can anyone give me more information about this weapon, in regards to quality, range, etc. Would really appeciate anything.
Thank You for Your Time,
Popcorn590

Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie to this forum but have been collecting military weapons for a few years now. I think this is a great forum and I thank the founder(s) for having the vision to make it happen!
I collect any military weapon used by the USA
... from the revolution to present day. My collection is small but I have M1 Garands, Eddystones, M1903s, M1911s, Krags, Springfield Trapdoors, and a bunch of bayonets.
I also belong to the Garand Collector Association and do most of my shooting at the NRA indoor range or Clark brothers just South of Warrenton, VA.

I all I've been a gun collector and shooter for over 40 years.
My first rifle was a sears 22 than a #1 mk3 Enfield 303, that's what started a love of English guns.
I just pickup some old night scope and I'm looking for some help on batteries
I will post another thread with photos
Thanks all

hi my name is Aris, got questions on 03 a3 bolt Please Help!!!!
I have a S.C. 03a3 s.n.3704893 , the barrel is dated 5 / 43. This rifle was handed down by my uncle. It is in great shape and i dont think it was ever issued as there are no rack #s on it and the only thing he ever pointed it at was an 8 pointer in upstate N.Y. I am worried about the bolt, I have read that the straight bolt that it came with is unsafe. All of the reports of failures were due to low number receivers but none due to a bolt failure? The only markings on the bolt are on the safety lug, they are small tick marks that look like this I II .I have not been able to find out what these marks mean, if the bolt is safe ,or if it really even matters since there are no reports of a bolt failure. Please help, Deer season is approaching, P.S Thank you for having this site, I didn,t know where else to turn

Top of the morning to everyone. I recently inherited an Enfield Rifle
from my father. He said it is very special. I want to learn some more about it. I shot it and it is a tack driver. It has parker hale sights on it and I am not sure how to adjust them. It is a Long Branch #4 MK 1*. 1943 It has a third swivel by the trigger guard. Ya'll be easy on me I'm a woman with not much experience with guns other than loving target shooting.
