    We did discuss this 10-28-09 I showed the belt below I brought home from Viet Nam. Pouches and mags were added to it in the late 1980's

    BrianQ answered: M1961 Belt for the M14icon magazine pouches. Type I carbine mag pouches fit as well as early versions of the .45 mag pouches but it came about 20 years after the carbine mag pouches did.

    Someone should send a link to this thread to the guy who is so proud of his "rare WW2 Carbine rifleman's belt". I know he would appreciate it!
