You take some great pics Jim ...
What kind of camera is that?

Badger,
I use my wife's camera, a Canon 40D. Too many buttons on it for me to understand them all. But she lets me use it now and then. She uses it for her craft pieces.
My camera was (now retired
) a Yashica Electro 35. I bought it in the service in 1968.

The markings can give an estimated time period, but not an actual date. I do have the contract records and it ran from May 44 thru Jan 45.

I thought you would know.
Thanks Bill.

I was just looking over my M1A1
. The TH is Inland with a mix of late and early parts, and noticed it has the mag catch cc over M. Ser. # 5116xxx barrel is dated 4-44. I'm thinking the mag catch got there through a rebuild. Any thoughts?.....Frank

Bill has contract info from 5-44. Barrels are usually made a few months before the rifle is assembled. Looks like it might fit right into the time frame of early use.

The CC magazine catch on a 5 million Inland would be a replacement. There is no evidence Inland used Commercial Controls Corp mag catches.
