the big W at the tip would be the real give away, also Winchester stocks have a smooth mill cut in the bolt area, and nicer cut at the safety keeper area as well.
Remington and Eddystone stocks are the same in every waym sans the E, R markings at the tip.

The Eddystone had a very apparent square cut for the bolt cutout.
Normally an Remington will have an downward sweep to the scallop cut for the handle and Winchester will (normally) have a upward sweep to the scallop cut.

That was the Reason I initially thought it was a Remington stock, because it really looks like a downward scallop to the handle cut.

Thats the 1917, you can almost never say "always" LOL
