Russian Spies and British Mk.8z boat tails

Our Britishicon members should be relieved, Kim Philby didn’t sell their Mk.8z rebated boat tail design to the Communist Russians.

My Prvi Partizan 174 grain boat tail arrived this afternoon.

Slight disappointment NO rebated boat tail bullets.
(Bindi2 told a fib and his nose is growing)

BUT please note the extremely well made military grade brass.

Standard hollow base military boat tail.

And of all things loaded with a double base ball powder, I hope I don’t burn out my barrel. .......

Now all I need is a dry day to go to the range.

Lets see the head moderator is “threatening” to take a round apart and I already put mine back together, re-crimped it and put it back in the box.

I call and raise an empty cartridge case from the U.S.iconA.

P.S. The honor of Canadaicon is on the line, please don't fold.

LOL, I don't have a bullet puller, so you'll have to excuse the mangled result I'm sure to produce. Standby......

LOL, thanks Edward. I had the ammo crate on my bench to prop up a couple rifles I was taking pictures of so I used it. I didn't get the headstamp nearly as well as you did, though.

It looks like the Prvi has a longer slope to it's boat tail than the IVI does.

Ed i didnt tell a fib. I said they used a Mk8 BT type projectile which with the right die could be turned into a Mk7 FMJ projectile.
