Just for the record............
I passed out with a barreled receiver in hand.

Worst of it was dropping the TV remote and having to watch Soaps for a few hours until help arrived.

Welcome back! The first few days I was home after surgery, I kept the remote in my sling so I wouldn't get stuck watching soaps! Take it easy. In the real world, horse vs. human, we almost always loose.....

Charlie, Glad to see you back at the keyboard.

Now, there are several important questions that need to be answered (only because Tiger Woods is unavailable to get interviewed)....

1) what was the manufacture of the receiver?

2) was the barrel correct for the receiver's manufacture date?

3) why did you chose a barreled receiver instead of a stock? (glad I don't want to ask a grown man why he was holding onto wood in the bed)

4) Did you actually drive the horse into a fire hydrant before or after your wife caught you with a barreled receiver in bed?

5) We have the serial numbers of 10 barreled receivers that claim to have recorded voice and text messages from you - do you care to comment?


Seriously... Life is God's gift to us all. Your survival and recovery will undoubtedly be an enjoyable Christmas gift to your family and your many caring friends. May continue to recover quickly, smoothly and full of appreciation of the good things in life.

I've lead that horse in for about 2 years, twice a day. He's the King of the hill here. Thus he's lead in first. Always walks on your rightside. You also have to bring his play buddy, the Quarter horse in at the same time on your left. Never had a problem until this particular time. When that shot rang out he went crazy. I knew that you never wrap the end of the lead line around your hand. Big Will was pulled off the 1 1/2 mile race tracks and trained for Dressage. He and my Daughter have won many awards including ranking in the Nationals a number of times. We board up to 56 head. Looks like I'll be leading in the minatures for a while ;-).

I'm really lucky he prefers to be on your rightside when going out or back in. Had he been on my left I may have been kicked in the heart. Just really glad it's over. They had me so doped up I could barely hold my head up. It was a real treat when I was able to get up and see the carbines in my display.

The Barreled receiver I had was one of the IBM's I've been trying to study.
This receiver is a 3,849,505 but has a no date Blue Sky barrel on it.
Figured when I could get back here I'd start off where I left off.......Trying to figure out which style P vs. P was correct for it. The wife took it away from me because I was getting #9 on the sheets.

I've said it before and I'll say it again......You just can't find a better bunch of guys than we have here. God bless all of you. Looks like I'll miss most of the muzzle loader season here, but I'm just happy to be here.
