Hi, guys. I'm a San Antonio native now living in North Texas (Virginia:-), & I've always wondered why Gruene is pronounced "green" & not "groo-in". Surely, Ernst Gruene (the founder) didn't call himself Green when he came to Texas from Germanyicon? Just curious. Of course, there's also Palacios which in Texan, is pronounced "Palashus".
