An M1 refurb from Arlington Armory
I bought one of these (M1 Garrand refurb) back in 1993 before the klinton crime bill went through. I haven't fired it much.
I did have 4 shooters (two of them NRA highpower shooters) shoot the rifle. at 100 yards, the 1st for rounds are right on,
the next for rounds are a foot high.
This is the same result of all 4 shooters.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Bob

Front handguard could be too tight. As the barrel warms, it expands and moves off. Most people suggest that the handguard be slightly loose.

Are you sure it's Arlington Armory? or could it be Arlington Ordnance?
there has not been an Armory at Arlington(is why I asked). Have you checked the muzzle wear on a gauge? and checked to see if metal meets/rubs wood anywhere? Arlington Ordnance was an importer and broght back some Korean M1's that had some probs at the muzzle from improper cleaning technique's that caused uneven wear at the muzzle from the cleaning rod rubbing.
