That's a really excessive price since they made over 500,000 and most were converted. I sold an Australianicon Hooked Quillion with matching scabbard for over $1,000 a few years ago and there were only about 5,000 manufactured.

If you watch the movie about the Australians fighting the Turks starring Mel Gibson you will see a number of hooked Quillions in the final scenes. I received a listing from Englandicon a few years ago listing the original hooked quillion 1907's for something like 50 pounds. I ordered 5 and they were sold out. Now there are Co's re-manufacturing 1907's with hooks for a reasonable price. So be careful when purchasing a 1907 HQ bayonet.
