Worth buying a complete carbine just for the IP Receiver?

Recently after seeing what a complete IP trigger housing went for
And after seeing what a complete IP bolt sold for

Can't help but wonder if this carbine is worth the asking, just because of the IP Receiver?

    $1699.77

Consider the condition and value of the other parts. Minus that from the $1,700. Is the receiver worth that amount to you.

If it's close, might be worth a trip to see what some of the othe markings are. Push safety with a type three band? Maybe the housing stayed intact, even if from another maker.

Since it appears to have Korean on the butt of the stock one would assume it's an import. If so then the value as a rebuilt import is no where near the sale price.

Receivers are easy. You just hand over the money because several are always available. Barrels are not easy. Trigger groups are not easy. Stocks are not easy

Did you see the carbine in person to see it says Irwin Pedersen and not Saginaw Gear (S'G')??

Cabela's milsurp prices are grossly inflated. No Blue Sky carbine is worth $1700.
Highly unlikely one of the 3,542 carbine receivers IP managed to make in the 3 months of production would turn up at Blue Sky and not be recognised as such either.
The link is dead too. Goes to Cabela's but not to a carbine.
    Spelling and Grammar count!

Congrats! I too have been squirling away parts. The barrel being the issue that concerns me.
