Unfired No4Mk2
Gday ,
Just sent the money to my dealer for this 1954 No4Mk2 , it is unfired currently.
Nothing special, just a bit excited and wanted to share

A question as well, is there any difference between the PF prefix rifles or UF?

Looks nice 👌 although no rifle is unfired...

Yes PF were foreign contracts and UF was for UK military. At least that is what I have read

I can not imagine any No4 is un fired, even those that went directly into “mummy wrap“ preservation where test fired first, and I would hope that any rifle you buy will have been fully proofed.

Nice... I bought a virgin Mk2 a couple years ago. In retrospect I overpaid but I don’t care, I wanted a clean pristine example.
As for the ‘no rifle in unfired’ crowd, you know what he means.

Rear battle sight has been messed with outside manufacture, look at the front of the battle sight loop. That makes me look twice at all of it.

Well, there ARE those that believe it hasn't EVER been fired, but I sure know what YOU mean.

Crikey, yes, looks like someone has attacked it with a grinder...!

Why would someone grind the sight like that? To make the opening larger?

Its the face thats been ground not the aperture so would not increase sight picture.
It is rather strange to say the least, easily replaced. Its a very clean rifle other than that tho. 👌
