Received a 7.27 Mil Winchester

I didn't believe the serial that CMP posted when they shipped my order, so I didn't post anything at the time. But I got the delivery today. Its a Winchester hand-stamped M-1 carbine, serial 7277852, complete with certificate from CMP. This serial is higher than any other Winchester M-1 carbine I have found posted on any of the forums. Please someone tell me they have one higher.

Its definitely a rack grade (the inland stock is firewood) and it looks like its been rode hard and put up wet. MW is still only a 2. I have it broken down for cleaning and filling out the data sheet. These pics will have to do for now. I did find some damage inside the chamber, so I will have to get it checked before I can shoot it.

Anyone know where I can get an affordable Winchester stock so I can burn this piece of Inland firewood?


UPDATE: Looked at it again... it may not be a handstamp - did they roll-stamp that high block?
