This M1came my way from an online auction, it was at a local inner city pawn shop. Pawn shop stated someone sold it to them for $25. It had been found in a closet in an old house. I think it is a genuine bring back, i dont think it has ever seen a collectors hands. It does have two parts that are probably not original to the rifle, but were probably done in the service. It has a adj sight and the hammer has probably been replaced(type 3 marked HI, has a dogleg ding on the TH as well). The adjustable sight shows only one center punch stake to it.
