I recently purchased an Iver Johnson 9mm Carbine at a pawn shop in Mesa, mostly becuase my kid was with me and went banannas when he spoted it. I feel the way most of you do about non-GI carbines, I'll pass on them just about every time.

So I took this thing to the range, just to try it out, and I was able to hit a six inch plate (could have been 8", could barely see it) at 100 yards, the boy was able to do the same. I had my spring tube winchester, an S'G', and my inland, and between all three, I hit maybe once or twice. I do not understand; the 9mm experiences a lot more drop than the 30 cal, the barrel of the nine is two inches shorter and thin; I do not understand. I would like to sell the thing, but the way I am able to hit with it, I can't find a reason.

Has anyone else shot on of the 9mm carbines and what has been your experience?

By the way, very good functioning, no stoppages!
