I recently purchased an M-1 carbine that is marked "Underwood" on the receiver and "Rock-Ola" on the barrel. My original assumption -- based on the serial number 613800 -- is that it is an Underwood that used a barrel from Rock-Ola. There is a stamp on the stock -- just ink; not an imprint as with a cartouche; that is the crossed cannons of the Springfield Armory. Can anyone tell me what this all adds up to? Thanks in advance.Information
