BSA Lee-Enfield removable .22 conversion kit

I've just obtained a Remington P.14 with a .22 conversion kit which is "B.S.A." over "LEE-ENFIELD" over "22 LONG" marked.

Since this was the first time I've seen such a kit I was wondering whether someone here also has one of those or knows more about them? Even Terence of rifleman.org.uk wasn't able to tell me much on those, so I'd be looking forward whether someone here could help me?

Were these kits also for other rifles than the P.14? If yes, let me know for which rifle and any additional information you have or know. Would be interested to find out to which period those date, probably someone can help me.

For the moment these are the only pictures I have, will add more when I have the rifle in hand.

    ATB

    Georg

PS: I have thought about putting this thread into the P.13/P.14/M1917 section, but since I wasn't specifically asking for the P.14 variant of this conversion kit (and believing that anyone who would have an identical item would also read here in the Enfield board) I decided to use this forum.
