15-025 Garand Picture of the Day

This will be my last posting on POD
I have enjoyed working with my long time friend Mark on this
I also like watching what others catch and the participation in discussions of the photos
The one that sticks out in my mind was the photo that contained the members father
I have found it increasingly difficult to find new material
My interests have changed and I have become more of a shooter than collector

US Planes circle over the USS Missouri during the formal Japaneseicon surrender September 2, 1945
ABOARD THE BATTLESHIP USS MISSOURI just before the Japanese surrender ceremony, Tokyo Bay, 2 September 1945. This formally ended the three years and eight months of war in the Pacific and marked the defeat of the Axis Powers

Thank you for the pictures. I always enjoyed them and learned from them.
The pictures that showed a dead U.S. serviceman always did something to me. A life ended so we in the United Statesicon can live in freedom. We, in the United States, owe so much to all servicemen and women past and present.
