    41 winchester

I picked up a Winchester 137810 I am no expert but I think except for the but stock that is a springfield with a SA open box stamp and one of the rear sight knobs the rest of it is correct for a 41 Winchester bolt D28287-1 WRA, op rod uncut D35382RA, gar cylinder D25449wra, receiver leg 028291-2wra, trigger C46008-1wra, trigger guard C46025wra, trigger assembly D28290-wra.t guide B8875wra

To say the least, there's some nice early parts there. Low number, just the way I like them. With the parts mentioned, are you thinking it's a "Corrected " rifle?

I do not think it was corrected fit and finish is very consistent. It came out of an old collectors estate he had a lot of early stuff. I read in one of the books that the but stock and rear sight were mandatory upgrades. Even if I did find a no trap stock and but plate I doubt if I could ever afford to buy it

photo of my three digit still with the DuLite finish - the no trap stocks went into early/mid 1942 with the production. I would think your rifle may have had some restoration at some
    period

    Early WRA

Nice rifle. The Fall GCAicon Journal will have a detailed comparison of two that are almost as early: 146219 and 163103. Both are totally original and minty.

yes it could have had some restoration at some point but the last owner is dead and there is no one to ask . Also everything seems to be correct but the stock and rear sight and they were were a mandatory upgrade seems like if someone was restoring it they would have replaced those items also
