    Krag bayonet Band Picture Requested

    Hi Guys

Restoring a us krag. Need a bayonet band for one. But hard to find up in Canadaicon. Guys down south won't ship.

So in the time being. If someone has a band and if they can take a picture dead center on the face of it (Removed from the stock) and give me three measurements. (Height and width at widest - outside dimensions and thickness of the wall) I can draw one up in cad and print a plastic one for the time being.

Picture attached is how i need the krag band to look. Square as possible.

Any one interested in giving a hand?

    Thanks

    Lorne

Altdiver, I will do this--- I assume you are talking about a 1898 Kragicon. I'm not sure if all years were the same. I'll get back soon. Salt Flat

Altidiver, Here you go---My camera batteries are dead so I scanned the ends of the band, which seemed to work fine. Also made a little sketch. Salt flat

Us guys down south, can't ship to Canadaicon. The ITAR prohibits shipping US military parts out side of the US. IF you are close to the boarder, cross over and get a PO box in the US.

Nope that is incorrect. Itar covers, bolts, barrels, receivers, scopes, etc. Iyou can get those items but export paperwork/fees are necessary.

Does not cover bands, screws, stocks, item like that.

I ordered 1903 bayonet band and other related items (US military) from Gun Parts Corp beginning of march and received them. Unfortunately they do not have Krag bayonet bands. The ones I do see for sale are on flea bay and guys won’t ship outside of USAicon.

Did you place a WTB here to see if someone had one? I got one here a few years back and it came across without any issue... Have you advertised in Canadaicon for one?

Do not forget "US Customs Agent discretionary interpretation" I have gone the rounds with them and they always win. So I just do not ship anything outside the US.

Did one up in CAD. Also found an original. Should be up here anytime. Shipped from USAicon.

Need to find another one for a buddy I am doing a stock for. Never ends! LOL
