The stamped CC on the IBM isn't right.
Notice how the cannon ball just seems to float in mid air.....

IMHO both look restored especially the S'G' the rear sight appears to be a repro the barrel has what looks like an NPM punch stake marking behind the front sight (rebarrel receiver). the I.B.M. looks like the cannons have been stamped on recently i've provided a pic of a real stamp not the best angle but the one on the stock in the auction don't look right to me or like the one in the pic provided there is a give away i'll keep to myself for certain reasons. regards

Stock markings on the S'G' look right.
But look closely at the B-S'G' marked rear sight in picture number 4.
I don't have a B-S'G' marked one.......but you can see in the attached picture that the markings are wrong. Pay close attention to the style of the "S" and "G"
Shamrocks,
I'll PM the pic to you.

The serial number would indicate production about December 1943. If so then the barrel should be a dated barrel and the bolt is a round bolt that was not used till early in 1944. So it's not just the stock that is not quite right on this IBM. hth

There are a few issues with the IBM but the barrel and bolt are correct for the serial number.
Undated barrels show up on IBM carbines from around serial number 3,796,xxx to the end of production. Round bolts were in use from serial number 3,744,xxx to the end of production.

Keep looking, that one isn't right either. if your going to spend the cash drop it on something that is worth it, not something that has been cobbled together.
