100 rounds a minute back in 1862.......on poorly made rounds. Technology today has produced these little beauties with refinement in the making of consistant rounds and the C & C craft of exact parts!!

The sea wizz CISW they have on the ships now days for the missile threat another one is the Bofors 40mm where they program the round a very nasty piece of kit.
A close friend was Engineer on board Canadian man 'o war and wished he could fix man handles on the sea wiz to fire manually...line of sight. That would be some ride...
This reiterates why the Russians have been bringing out 57mm AA guns. Even without all this fancy tech you have high velocity, flat trajectory, high volume of fire and a good balance of high explosive and armour/bunker busting.
Looks like the wunder-waffen gatling is pretty much a flop against high speed surface targets. If it has that much trouble with one, what would it do with three or four?

I was thinking the same thing about how unimpressive the Sea-wis looked, against the boats. How will it do against a missle. They do sound impressive when firing. (i'm ex navy).
I think I'd run with the Bofor round a 1000 tungsten balls per round has more chances of getting a hit that 5000 single rounds the latest Bofor I think has a higher rate of fire than the one pictured.
I was searching for the 5 round burst they shot through a concrete panel with them all bursting behind the panel after penetrating it, from memory I think it was 300-400mm thick reinforced concrete.
