    The entertainers that performed for the USO during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam were all American hero's placing themselves in danger for our troops. Glen Miller stands out, he didn't come back.

    He completed a run of the 8th Air Force bases with his band and was leaving to begin performing in Franceicon. Apparently the plane strayed from accepted air lanes. A Britishicon fighter intercepted and didn't recognize his plane and shot it down. All lost.
