A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hello everyone. Have been shooting and collecting Garands since I bought my first on at Woolworths back in the late 80s. I have received several more from the CMPicon since then. My interest extend to M1903 Spingfields, as well as foreign arms (Mausers, Enfields).

    Hello Men,

I'm a sniper instructor starting in VietNam and subsequent law enforcement
training. My hobby is testing and evaluating historic military sniper rifles.

My group was in on the 'Kennedy test' to evaluate whether or not the
Italianicon Carcano was capable of the 'mission'. For those of you who are
interested in this sort of thing, indeed, it was quite capable of 'claims'
at that distance of 60 meters. at the 15 mile per hour target traverse.
Even with the bubba'd cheap *** scope set up. It could also be done with Iron sights alone , even at 'marksman' level. (we got bored in the
practice session because we almost never missed the dummy under
    these circumstances.)
So, if you're a conspiracy buff, and you believed
someone else was primary at the repository--perhaps a sniper grade expert,
then it would have been no problem for him to get off the required count.

There would have been no need for a tersiary grassy knoll hitter.

...if they had one, it would only be the exclamation mark on the sentence...

Anyway, if you guys have any particular accuracy or sniper questions
regarding old equipment or new stuff, feel free to email me and I'll try to
put you on target based on over 45 years in the biz.

Also, I'm looking to purchase some good 6.5 carcano ammo, and scope
mounts, pads, and a decent #32 Enfield Scope. R.E.L. prefered.

    Thanks, God bless our Freedom.

    Returning browser

    Hi all:
I used to browse and occassionally post but have been absent for a year or so. Glad to be back - I'm more of a target shooter than collector and my #1 match rifle is a great M1icon built by Roland Beaver.

    New Guy

Forty eight years ago this summer Dad and I walked through the front door of Sears in Waco. There were two 55 gallon drums with the tops cut out and guns sticking out higher than my 10 year old head and a sign that read "Choice $10." Dad picked one out and kept us in venison with it for years. I finally got to shoot that "old army" gun when I turned 14 and that's was when I found out it was chambered in .303 Britishicon. Another 4 or 5 years later I found out it was an Enfield Rifleicon from WWII.

I've got a lot of nice guns but none nearer or dearer. It started my love affair with all things that go bang! I opened my gun store in 2005 and have learned a lot more aobut milsurp since then. I really like the history that comes alive when I hold one and sight down the barrel.

    Hi.

Recently out of uniform, I'm a milsurp owner (2 Lee-Enfields, a Mauser, etc) looking to learn more specifics on stuff I've known generally about for years.
