Hello,
Enjoy the forum thought I'd join. I've been collecting milsurps for a year or two now. I like the history. I've managed to find a couple of Mosin Nagants a real nice Gew 98, an SKS and a Hakim. I reload for all except the SKS. I'm sure I'll have many more soon. Thanks for all the info on this site.

Milsurp Collector for 30 years. My first rifle was a sporterized KRAG. I like the early bolt action like the GEW
88, and I also have a Mauser 1874, plus numerous Model 93's and 98 Mauser's in addition, I am a CMP
customer and C&R licensee and have collected M-1 carbines, M-1 Garands and 1903 Springfield. I also build Mauser sporters on actions or barrelled actions I can come across without cutting a rifle up. I go by the name Tackleberry on some other forums.

I hope this is the correct place for this. I am a single-shot rifle fan. I have not "collected" any, but have managed to accumulate a few.
I live between Houston and Galveston, Tx. And don't really enjoy the heat and humidity any more.
My main thing now is trying to bring "basket case" actions back from the dead, to the point that they can be used for at least mild cast bullet loads. Again these are old single shot falling, pivoting block type rifles.
Enough. Ballard

Hi Everyone, Maybe someone can help me with an accuracy problem with my new Sig Saur P 220 SAO Match 45ACP. It shoots 4 to 5 inch groups at 20 yards benchrested with CCI, Winchester NT and Federal NT ammunition. My gunsmith reciently evened out the crown of the muzzel and there was no change. I have put about 500 rounds of FMJ though it with the hope of breaking it in to no avail. The barrel is mirror clean. You advice would be most appreciated. Thanks

I have been lurking here off and on for some time. My primary mil surplus interest is M1
carbines, although I have owned 1903's and M1 Garands in the past.
Great forum, thanks to the mods.

New to the forums, but not entirely to CSP
. Sharyl Smith W3VET (a 25xx in RVN) posted links to the M16
story, which confirmed what I'd felt about the Mouse Gun since we first saw it at the U of Utah in '67. USMC Jan '64..Aug '72, mostly air wing (6236 Phantom Fire Control, secondary 8981 MARS Radio); 1st MAW Iwakuni and DaNang, NESEP (dropped after two years), MCAS Beaufort, then 1st MARDIV DaNang, MAG-12 Chu Lai, back to DaNang (all MARS that tour), El Toro, and out. WA6DZS from 29 Palms and El Toro. 238 with the M-14 at Camp Matthews, still got the miner's lamp. Picked up a Springfield 1903A3 at K-Mart while in Salt Lake.
