RCS/Jim, thank you for the help. He would like to know if there is a way that he can know where parts in a trigger group would be correct for his rifle. The serial number of his Winchester produced Garand is 1371956
Looking at USRifleCAL30M1 I came up with these;
MFG Component Drawing Number Heat Lot Date Range Serial# Range Notes
WRA Hammer C46008-1W.R.A. Type 1A December/1940 to March/1944 100001 - 2400000 Drawing number on right side, early hooks, with or without tooling hole.
WRA Hammer Pin A13668 N/A December/1940 to June/1945 100101 - 2540999
WRA Hammer Spring B8887 N/A November/1940 to May/1944 100101 - 2540999 20 coils
WRA Hammer Spring Housing B8883 Type 1 December/1940 to June/1945 100101 - 2540999
WRA Hammer Spring Plunger B8880 Type 1 December/1940 to June/1944 100101 - 2540999 Winged head, 1.542 inches long, head 0.459 inches wide.
WRA Safety C46015 Type 1H July/1941 to January/1945 112501 - 2540999 Flat upper side and top, marked "C46015-4-W.R.A." on lower left side.
WRA Trigger C46020 Type 2B May/1943 to January/1945 1333701 - 2540999 No tooling hole. May be punch marked or marked with "A".
WRA Trigger Guard C46205W.R.A. Type 1I May/1942 to June/1945 165601 - 2540999 Milled, may show punch mark near drawing number. No beveled corners and drawing number spaced out.
WRA Trigger Housing D28290W.R.A. Type 2B March/1943 to December/1944 1300000 - 2533000 Cloverleaf hole, pad width 0.321 inch. Mixed with 2A
Thank you in advance
Bill

It looks like a good basic guide for Winchester restorations. My Winchester rifles are all from 1941 except one 1942 which had the trigger photo
posted. Don't be too concerned about the punch marks as Springfield used them. There are eight or nine variations of the trigger guard markings
too.
