    I think I would take her story with a large grain of salt. If she could drive herself to the bank, she could also have driven herself to the police station.
    Her story shows she has imagination, though.

    My step mon used to say the Alaskans had frozen brains. There is a larger percentage of people who just don't "fit in" up there. Add a little drugs and booze and you get some funny stories. Today there is probably a lot more drugs than when I was there. I grew up in Fairbanks in the fifties. To be fair,a lot of people up there are very capable, meet the challenges head on and flourish.
