    Welcome MAAD58: Try to post some photos of the rifle. There's a real simple way to upload directly from your hardrive (check the "sticky threads"). Your rifle probably is a 1916 from the serial number. Do you know if it's in an Eddystone stock and whether it's been through the Weedon repair? My own Eddystone is a favorite shooter even thought he bore is quite ugly.
