For sure an M2 with fake cartouches and stock is not worth all that money.

I saw that Johnny I guess my question was did any of the 22 Springfields have any kind of cutoff notch. Mine doesn't - but i hate to generalize with a sample of one rifle
I have seen that squared off profile before on some .30 cal rifles but again i don't know if they were some sort of oddball replacement stock or a contemporary reproduction.

The M1922 M2 rarely appear in Europe, Hermann Historica only auctioned one several years ago. They sell for rather high prices, but €2500 is far too much. I wouldn't even buy it priced at 1500€.
Oh, and BTW: my M1922 M2 has a CSAA cartouche on the right side. Funny since the cartouches are usually on the left side of the rifle.

The 1922 stocks did not need the cutoff. Just like the cartouche, someone probably thought that one should have it to be correct and ruined a good stock.
