Thanks guys. Yeah, it is a nice stock. If you guys are ever in need of a K98 stock, let me know and I can pass along the seller's contact info. He may have more. (He is on Gunbroker as well). I think shipped from Norway with all the metal hardware, stock and handguard it was $170. Not bad at all.....

New toy at last
Finally got something to show after a long time...at least a long time for me.
Just picked up a hard to find or if I may say rare Pattern 1903 Mk II Naval Pattern scabbard. It has taken me 5 years but finally picked one up that I could afford.
Below is it pictured with another rare scabbard, a Pattern 1888 Mk II* Land Pattern, for comparison. Easiest way to tell a P1888 type scabbard vs a P1903 is that the P1888 has a pointier tip!
In the second set of pictures is an overall comparison of Pattern 1903 scabbards. Top to bottom, note length of frog loops and stitching vs rivits:
P1888 Mk I Land, P1903 Mk I Land, P1903 Mk I Naval (probable commercial example as there is no chequering but the closest I have found), P1903 Mk II Naval, P1903 Mk III Naval, P1903 Volunteer Pattern, and P1903 Ishapore Pattern.
