I looked at the scope set up and elevation either way would have stressed the tube as the front mount is not gimballed, I use Burris signature rings they have 0, +10 & -10 inserts so you can get 10MOA by using + - combination that does not stress the scope tube.
Yes I am over the moon with the Hiscock, first one I have seen in the flesh!
I see what you mean about stressing the tube, I seem to remember some Parker Hale front mounts allowed for some movement. I am hoping to take the rifle for a shoot over the next few days so, unless it is pretty much zeroed in already, I may have to look for PH or Burris front mount. What have you got your scope setup on?

Not to forget, the US issue cheekpiece has been artificially aged. The scope looks very high for comfort but I'll bet it's a shooter...can't wait to see. Keep us info'ed...?

Yes I am glad it is only a 22lr otherwise the shooting position with the high scope could cause some issues. The cheekpiece is very modern and was just added as it "looked nice". I will definitely let you know how it shoots.

With the Burris Signatures these ones F class 6.5 x 284, APRS - 308, F class Barnard - 308, F class Rem 223.
Still using iron sights with my 303's, my "T" rarely comes out of the safe maybe once a year putting 15-20 rounds down range for fun

I will definitely look into the Burris mounts then, thanks! Yes a T might have to be next on the list but its convincing the "boss" to let me spend the money.
