    Hello,

Call them Monday or before you go. I don't know if there is any left. Save you a trip if you are only going for LC.

    Take care,

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. The CMPicon had LC in the past, sold it all and then the Army turned up more. Who knows what is tucked away in some ammo storage point somewhere? More LC may show up again. I think it is a bit funny though, this frenzy over LC when a couple of years ago the experts were scorning it for the 'much superior' Greek ball. Now everyone wants LC!

Speaking of LC ammo, in all the lots that have come down the CMPicon pike, has anyone seen any lots with a date after 1972?

Years ago I read an article in American Rifleman claiming that a final batch of 30-06 on Browning links was made up for South Vietnam in early 1975. Given the abrupt collapse of South Vietnam that spring, it was speculated that the ammo may not have gotten there.

Have some LC in CMPicon boxes dated '69. De-linked machine gun ammo. Shoots fine.

Just got an email the other day that my two cans of Lake City I ordered back in December is now shipping to me and should arrive early next week. I'm wishing I'd ordered a few more now.

Seems reasonable, but I thought congressional funding was curtailed before this, like in 1973 or 1974? My last CMP match in Youngstown had LC 1972 and it ran fine. Prior to this we were issued HXP 1974, which ran fine as well. If I run into dates after 1972 on the LC I'll let you know.
