    The fact that the bolt matches is a plus. So many of them got swapped in transit from Japanicon to the U.S. One of the theories is the Navy took them out for the voyage and when they arrived stateside, bolts were passed out without concern about matching numbers.
    If the stock has it's original finish, keep it that way. Making it "pretty" will turn a $250 rifle into a $150 rifle.
    The website "OG" mentioned is a good one. Many of the guys who write the books are on there.

    My rifle is just as Old Glory has described. Except for missing the anti aircraft wings , dust cover and monopod everything else matches. The finish on the stock is in good shape. You guys are a big help, Many thanks Derrick
