Britishsoldiers of both wars were issued a clasp knife. The WWI version had a blade, tin opener and marlin spike. The spike was used as a hoof pick by mounted troops, and as a rope woking tool by others.
The WWII version had a blade, tin opener,marlin spike and screwdriver but was smaller than the WWI knife. During WWII several versions were made some omitting the marlin spike, late war ones adding a bottle opener to the can opener blade.Information
