Take your M3A1 and use the backside of the brush to release the extractor, (the tab on the backside of the brush fits into the slot under the Extractor), holding the top of the extractor with your thumb.Then, ease the brush-end forward, the Ejector is under some spring pressure. Remove the firing-pin, Extractor and Ejector.


Assembly; Insert the Ejector,,notice theres a cut in the side, this faces towards the Extractor, insert the firing pin. Now, look at the Tool, specifically the blade that has the Ruptured Case Extractor. At the top is the two-point screwdriver for loosening/tightening the windage nut and the pin punch for removing pins. Right below it is a cutout,looks like a divot.

Start the Extractor in the hole, put your thumb over it and take the divot and place it against the tip of the Ejector, push the Ejector in with the blade and push down on the Extractor with your thumb. You're done!
