Could be, but I don't think so. There are some very large distributorships in this area and they seem to be feeding the local market first. At any rate, the stuff on the shelves and at the shows look like new production.

just ordered 10,000 CCI large rifle primers from Champion's choice along with 1,000 match 308 berger bullets. the price was ok for the good CCI primers for use in my MIa 308/ match gun.

...had wife pick up some regular CCI Large Rifle primers and when I looked at the receipt, they had charged $7.99 per 100!!! This is from a small mountain community so things are more expensive, but Holy Cramoly! They used to charge $4.99 - talk about gouging. Seems like no one else within a hundred miles had them at ANY price.

The last primers I bought were at the Berea show near Cleveland. They were CCI LR and they were $30 a 1000. I have been lucky enough to maintain a steady supply through the crunch paying in the mid to low $30 range. I can't always get what I want but can find what I need. It is getting better. I have seen primers go for as much as $50 a brick and they were still there at the end of the show. Powder is still in the $30 a lb range when you can find what you want. H and IMR 4895 is scarce. Varget can be found and BLC-2 as well. The two hardest bullets to find are 30 carbine and 123 gr 7.62x39. I did pick up a 1000 7.62 Winchester bullets at Berea for $160. Now I wish I had bought the other box as well. I have been working with cast bullets fo my .30 cals with decent results.

my recent purchase of CCI magnum rifle primers, just got the UPS box full of them yesterday, 10 boxes of 1K, thirty four bucks a box plus the 25 buck haz fee and the UPS shipping fee. wow. I think that these will continue to rise in price and until the Afgan middle east opium wars get done, when we give up and smooth things over with the Mus army there,the prices may stabilize, but by then Opie's boy in the white house will have firgured a way to raise/tax us on the reloading components too.

I just paid $39 including tax for 1000 WW209 primers today. The prices are coming back down around here.

Powder Valley has primers at better prices than most places.

i've noticed prices coming down in south central pa. gunsmith friend of mine, and his is a small operation, got in 5 cases of winchester primers, all types. he refuses to screw his loyal customers and all primers were 33-35/1000. so if he can charge that and turn a profit, what is he paying for them ? on the other hand, another local crook even had them for $39. i think it amounts to individual gouging at this time. forget about gander mountain or cabellas. try to hold out as long as you can. prices should be coming down, not like in the "old days", but coming down.

Hi new here. Ive had great experience with Powder Valley, the shipping was extremely fast. I got mine in 3 days i think from the morning after i ordered. Price was below anyone i found.
