Hmmm. I recently sold a BSA 44 with mis-matched Mk3 scope (no other accessories but the rifle, bracket, & scope were all correct), for less than 3000.
    Not outrageous by current standards.......
I normally only exhibit at 'The International' (National Motorcycle Museum) just outside Birmingham as I only have to fall out of bed to get there, but, although well attended, most of the punters collect knives, or air rifles, or deacts, or whatever. Only a small minority are looking for S1 firearms, & even fewer for Enfield snipers. Yes, perhaps it will be worth giving Bisley a shot (ouch!) next year.....

I looked at that one too, I considered it too be real, as did Fultons. It was boxed as well but didnt sell @£1300 nice one really ! Not silly money either.

    Enforcer

£1300/£1350 -sounds like the one i thought was a bit odd looking. I didnt look in detail but whilst most of it looked ok the handguard seemed 'aftermarket' to me( it didnt look like a Moon original). AFAIK scopes did vary but this Pecar (correct spec) might have been a later addition (rather than as issued!).
Did anyone have a good look at it?
I gather 'C. MOON &. CO.' made/adapted furniture for these rifles but the handguards needed to be shaved to accommodate the front of the Pecar scopes. As certain rifles were supplied without, or with other, scopes does anyone know who did and when the necessary shaving was done.(if you get my meaning!)

I managed to pick up a 'fair' NZicon No8 with clean barrel and original sights and a short butt No4 Mk2 for fair monies....The L1A7 Night sight (IWS) was hoovered by me... as I don't think I'll see a nicer working example for some time....Very pricey.... indeed... Glad the mortgage is paid and I don't smoke!

I have also rescently bought a L42,Enforcer and 4(T) from known and reputable dealers who also post/advertise/get mentions here.... There are a lot of fakes about.... only by continual comparison and referencing books do you get to know if it is 'right'... Impulse buys make you real unhappy....!

On Trfalgar... I expected more spares and oddments .... prehaps ebay has taken over......

Yes i think you are right about ebay, alright for the seller but rubbish for us buyers (remember the scope can and strap for £700 last year).
I saw the Enforcer, i think the handguard was a replacement and it wasn't £1300 good, also saw a nice M85 but again bit pricey (nearly £4k) needless to say these remained unsold. I have been a recent convert to auctions i saw a fair Enforcer go last month at HOLTS for £700 and an original set of wood for an Enforcer started bidding at £10 (didn't see what it went for).
SMLE's and No4's all went for under £200 most expensive was the enforcer and a no.8 at £300 even Jungle carbines were sold earlier this year under £200.
