I like the Korean photo from imarangemaster. You don't see the M-8 Grenade Launcher mounted on a carbine very often in old war photos. And looks what is hanging around his neck

Look close at the side of his pack facing us, what do you see.

Also is that an LT. bar just off shoulder or damage in the photo, can't tell.

Looks like a "Willie Peter" rifle grenade.

Here's another of Churchill, Eisenhower, and Bradley (corrected) shooting the "New M1icon Carbines"

Just noticed a BAR lying on the groud behind the G.I. in the Korean pic. Could be the aftermath of a tough fight?.....Frank

    Corrected

According to the archive, it is Bradley. I thought Marshal, but corrected it.

Looks like a “Willie Pete” on the rock waiting to get thrown. It also looks like the guy holding the BAR is not the BAR gunner. The Guy in the back ground has the ammo rig for the BAR. Recon the fellow in the foreground is just holding it so the BAR man can lob a couple grenades ?

Rangemaster, thanks for the pics. Besides the tools of war they show young Americans far from home, fighting for our freedoms and way of life. some paying the ultimate price, last pic lower right corner.....Frank
